As Principal of Fisher Grade School, I would like to welcome you to our buildings' web site. It is our hope that you will find this site both informative and useful. On this site you can find such information as our State Report Card, our School Improvement Plan, the monthly calendar and of course, the lunch menu.
Each of our teachers have their own web-page where you can find a variety of things like, teacher e-mail addresses, their contact hours, homework assignments and even see some samples of student work.
I am extremely proud of our facility and staff, we have a beautiful school building and hard working teachers who genuinely care about kids! These two factors make coming to FGS a very enjoyable experience!
About Our Principal:
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jim Moxley, it has been my honor to have been the Fisher Grade School Principal for the past 12 years. I have been around for many changes that have taken place over the last decade, most notably the construction of the new grade school building back in 2003. I have enjoyed these growing/changing experiences and I look forward to the new challenges that lie ahead.
I will tell you a little bit about my background and then finish up with my favorite topic, my family. I did my undergraduate work at Eureka College (my home town) and I received my master's degree from the University of Illinois. Prior to accepting the Principal's position at FGS, I worked in the Mahomet-Seymour School District as a teacher and coach (wrestling and girls softball) for 12 years.
I currently live in Mahomet with my wife of 20 years and our three children Matt (Fr. in college), Tyler (Jr. in high school) and our daughter, Blayne (Fr. in High School). Our kids keep us very busy with all of their school and church activities. When I am not following one of them around I enjoy running, biking and playing softball. I really only have one hobby, which is going to movies.
